<\/a>Dr. Shuyuan Mary Ho, Ph.D.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0research focuses on trusted human-computer interactions, specifically addressing issues of cyber insider threats and automated detection of online deception in spontaneous communication. Dr. Ho founded the iSensor Lab in 2010. iSensor Lab is primarily dedicated to socio-technical research related to human factors (e.g., behavioral threat) in cyberspace. Experiments are conducted in a live, and virtual laboratory. Dr. Ho\u2019s sociotechnical research approach utilizes social-psychological theories along with pragmatic viewpoints on language cues to create an innovative methodology for computational modeling of next generation predictive behavioral reasoning\u00a0systems based on language-action features in complex trust relationships, human disposition and intent detection. Dr. Ho collaborated with Dr. Jeffrey Hancock at Cornell University, Dr. Mike Burmester and Dr. Xiuwen Liu at FSU Computer Science. Together, their research has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF) Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace EAGER<\/strong> grant (1347113\/1347120\u00a0$199,998\u00a009\/01\/13 \u2013 08\/31\/15). Dr. Ho’s research and technology innovation is\u00a0funded by\u00a0NSF I-CORPS<\/strong> grant (1505195 $50,000 12\/15\/14-05\/31\/15) to investigate the potential applications of predictive analytics reasoning system in the industry. Dr. Ho’s research is also funded by Florida Center for Cybersecurity<\/strong> FC2 ($25,000 03\/01\/15-02\/28\/16) and Florida State University Council of Research and Creativity, and can be found in\u00a0Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology<\/em>,\u00a0Springer<\/em>, ACM<\/em>, and many world’s leading\u00a0refereed publications.<\/p>\n\n

He received his bachelor degree in Information Technology from SASTRA University, Tanjavur, India at 2009. He then started his carrier at Oracle Financial Software Services from 2009 till 2012. He worked as a database developer and also as a dataware house developer using Informatica an ETL tool for warehouse architects. He was certified as Informatica developer from Informatica Corporation at August 2011. He then received his Master\u2019s degree\u00a0in Software Systems\u00a0from BITS Pilani, India at 2013 which was a Work Integrated Learning Programme. He then moved to Capgemini to expand his skills and he worked as a \u00a0developer for two years and managing a team of four people. Aravind is currently working as a Research Assistant under the guidance of Dr. Shuyuan Mary Ho in the School of Information which is primarily focused on machine learning algorithms with data analysis and his research interest includes machine learning, Hadoop, data structures and algorithms,\u00a0parallel programming, database systems and exploring data warehousing and data mining techniques.<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>\u00a0Shashank Timmarajus<\/strong> is currently a Master\u2019s student in Computer Science at the Florida State University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology at JNTU Hyderabad, India in 2010. \u00a0He worked as Information Security Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services, India for 3 years. Shashank also received certification from EC council as a Certified Ethical Hacker. His research interests include algorithms, \u00a0natural language processing, computer graphics and mobile programming. \u00a0Besides his research, he loves to hear Pink Floyd<\/strong>\u00a0and solving problems in TopCoder all day!<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>\u00a0Kashyap Vemuri<\/strong> is a current graduate student in the Computer and Information Sciences department at the Florida State University. He received his bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science from VNR Vignana \u00a0Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology in 2011. After working with the prestigious TATA\u2019s Tata Consultancy Services for two years in health care division. In this period he was declared as one of the top \u00a0performers in his training, worked as a lead developer in a health care product Med Mantra, which is a comprehensive hospital management solution, in pharmacy module and has helped the product go live in \u00a0various locations in India.\u00a0\u00a0In 2013 he joined the Florida State University to earn a Masters\u00a0degree. Kashyap is currently working as a Research Assistant in the School of\u00a0Information under the guidance of Dr. Shuyuan Mary Ho. Her research is primarily focused on using interactive games and using sophisticated machine learning algorithms to learn Interpersonal Deception.\u200b<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>\u00a0Hengyi (Holly) Fu<\/strong> is a current doctoral student in the School of Information at Florida State University. She received her master degree of Library and Information Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in \u00a02013. Before that, she studied Computer Science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research interests include online group work, social computing, human-computer interaction, and social \u00a0informatics. Besides her research interests, she enjoys music and play violin and double bass very well.<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>\u00a0Laura Clark<\/strong> has a BSBA in marketing from the University of South Alabama.\u00a0 After receiving her bachelors degree, she worked in marketing both in the area of tourism and manufacturing. \u00a0She has worked in Germany doing Army personnel testing. \u00a0She has worked for the two major hospitals in Pensacola as an educational instructor. \u00a0She has a diverse working background that required excellent communications skills, problem solving, and creative thinking. \u00a0She has worked in Tallahassee, Florida for the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Marketing and Development.\u00a0 During this time, she received MLIS from Florida State University. \u00a0She also worked for three years as a librarian for LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library System in Tallahassee, Florida. This job focused on reference and children\u2019s programming. \u00a0She is currently a teaching assistant at Florida State University where Laura is completing her second year as a doctoral student in Information Studies. Her areas of research interest are information needs of children, emergent literacy, cyber security, health information, military information, and intrinsic motivation.<\/p>\n
\n<\/a>\u00a0Jonathan Hollister<\/strong> is a current Doctoral student in Library and Information Studies at the Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. He has a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida \u00a0State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Jonathan is interested in the individual and social information behaviors in virtual \u00a0communities and worlds. Specifically, he is interested in looking for the representation, acquisition, and demonstration of information, media, and technology literacy skills in persistent virtual online gaming \u00a0communities. Information, media, and communication technology literacies encompass skills that facilitate the creation, location, evaluation, management, communication, and use of information.
